Incoco Nail Polish Applique

I received this set of Incoco nail polish appliques in a previous month’s Birchbox, much to my excitement. Until then, I hadn’t tried nail strips despite constantly passing by the Sally Hansen branded strips while shopping.

Incoco appliques come in solid color manicures, French manicures, and design manicures. The set I received was from the design line, though I can’t find the exact strips the Incoco site.  They’re similar to the Femme Fetale print, with a few small differences.

Because my nails were relatively short I was able to cover two fingers with one strip, which means I’ll get to use the leftover strips at a later date. The instructions tell you to use them immediately after opening, but I taped the package shut after I took the first set of strips out.  Hopefully the second set will last until I need them again.

The strips applied easily, and I finished them off with a quick coat of Seche Vite to increase durability.

Incoco claims the strips will last up to 14 days, “depending on your lifestyle”.  My lifestyle must be terribly rough, because the strips only lasted a few days.  I would have been disappointed if I didn’t change my polish fairly often (every 2-3 days, at least).

Have you ever tried nail strips?  What was your experience like?

  1. I’ve had a similar problem with these sort of nail stickers. I must also have a rough lifestyle (which I doubt, ha!) because mine started to fall off within a day or two!

  2. I’m always hesitant to try those things. They look complicated, haha! I’m not surprised they didn’t last long. I bet they wouldn’t last long on my nails either.

  3. I’ve tried the Sally Hansen ones and it was a disaster! I tried to put a top coat on and the top coat ending up eating the nail sticker away. The top coat was one of Sally Hansen’s as well, so…it was just a disaster all the way around.

  4. They turned out really well on you, despite their downsides. It’s a shame they don’t last longer, though. Especially when you’re basically paying the same as you would for a whole bottle of polish. Most stickers only have enough for one or two applications, right?

    1. Yeah, I think most brands only have enough for one or two applications, depending on your nail length. It would make more sense for these brands to include at least two sets, given the price.
