Exotic Encounters & Elephant Walk

Here are two polishes from China Glaze’s recent On Safari collection, Exotic Encounters and Elephant Walk.

First up is Exotic Encounters, which is a dusty blue-leaning green.  It reminds me of a bluer version of Orly Lucky Duck.

The polish applied perfectly and was opaque in two coats.  I might have been able to get away with one coat if I didn’t wrap my tips (which usually results in a bit of polish I need to smooth over at the tip, requiring another coat to even out).

Next is Elephant Walk, which China Glaze describes as a ‘cool graphite grey’.  I don’t think that’s terribly accurate; I’d describe it as a medium grey with a touch of green.  There is also a very subtle silver shimmer that I couldn’t quite pick up in the pictures below.

The formula was similar to that of Exotic Encounters – it painted on smoothly and was opaque in two coats.

I have a few more polishes from On Safari coming up soon, so be on the look out for those!

  1. I’m definitely very excited for this collection. I purchased the entire Native collection a few days ago, and am eagerly awaiting their arrival 🙂

  2. I’ve noticed my nail polish collection has a definite skew towards the warmer side (it’s honestly like 40% pink), and I’ve been looking for some pretty cools to pick up. These two are just fabulous! Must have.
