At the end of April, I received an email from Birchbox asking if I would like to opt into a free box of products sponsored by Nuance, a brand of beauty products from Salma Hayek. Of course, I said yes. A few weeks later I received this box with the following items:
- Nuance AM/PM Anti-Aging Super Cream
- Nuance My Secret Super Moisturizing Body Cream (full size)
- Nuance Lights, Camera, Action Eye Trio in Sapphire (full size)
- Nuance Mamey Fruit Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner
I have not tried the shampoo/conditioner or the anti-aging cream, so I can’t comment on them at the moment. I will probably take them on an upcoming vacation (both are conveniently travel-size), and will hopefully report in on their effectiveness at a later time.
The body cream is really nice. Very moisturizing and not greasy, though I feel it’s on par with other body creams available for purchase at your local drugstore. I feel like the scent will make or break it for you, so give it a sniff if you have the opportunity.
The Lights, Camera, Action Eye Trio is decent, as well. The three-part wand features a twist-up black eyeliner, a shimmery white highlighter, and a cream shadow. The shadow on my particular wand was the sapphire shade, which isn’t really my color, but I gave it a swatch to quickly test it out. I feel if you use a light hand, the cream shadows will work well. The eyeliner is probably my favorite item in the wand – smooth and easy to work with. I could see this product being useful if you need a multitasking item to throw in your purse or travel bag.
The Nuance line is available exclusively at CVS.
The box was provided to me by Birchbox and Nuance, at no cost. Opinions are my own.
