I’m on the fence about the Neil George shampoo and conditioner.  The scent reminds me of generic hotel shampoo, which isn’t something I go out of my way to experience.  It’s a clean, soapy, “unisex” scent.  The shampoo didn’t lather well, which I would expect if it were sulfate-free… but it’s not.  Pairing the shampoo and conditioner together left me with soft hair, but no softer than any of the other products I normally use.  The sample sizes are generous, so that is a plus.

The full size is $9 (3.38 oz / 100 ml), making these worth $4.50 each (1.69 oz / 50 ml).

After seeing the Coastal Scents Revealed quads in Birchboxes for a few months, I was wondering if I’d ever receive one to try.  This is the “Latte” set, which contains two matte and two shimmery shadows.  They’re not terribly pigmented, but you can build the color up and blend them out as necessary.  I think the full palette is a really good value, especially if you don’t already own any of the nude palettes that have released over the past few years.

Full size is 20 shadows for $20; sample size is worth a little less than $4 (the sample shadows aren’t the same size as the shadows in the full palette).

I’ve been using and enjoying these final two products.  The Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream has a 99% natural formula and is meant to “lift, brighten and reduce the appearance of fine lines“.  The cream has a really light scent, which is something I look for in a skin care product.  It’s also moisturizing without being greasy and absorbs well into the skin.  A little goes a long way, so the 7ml sample will last a while.

The full size is $38 (15 ml) making the sample worth just under $18.

Finally, there is the Perlier Revitalizing Body Butter in White Almond.  As you could probably deduce from the name this is meant for the body, but I have been using it almost exclusively as a hand cream.  The formula is a happy medium between a thinner lotion and some of the thick body butters I’ve used.  The scent is definitely almond, though it becomes much more subtle after application.

Full size (6.7 oz / 200 ml) is $34.46 (that’s random), so the sample is worth $5.17.

Box Value: Around $35, plus the points for reviewing each product ($5 in Birchbox Shop credit).
