Brilliance is my second polish from ILNP’s Ultra Chrome Flakies collection, and it’s just as amazing as my first. The flakies in this polish primarily lean more green and gold, but as you will see, flashes of pink and red are very common. The formula is great to work with, and if you want a little more detail about it you can check out my first post here.
In the picture below, I’ve varied the number of coats so you get an idea of how the polish builds up. I started with one coat on my little finger, put two on my ring finger, and three coats on the middle and index fingers. By the third coat I felt the coverage was full enough that another coat wasn’t necessary.
My favorite way to wear these flakies is over another polish, and my favorite pairing with Brilliance so far has been Love Angel Music Baby from the first OPI x Gwen Stefani collection. There’s just something about it…
Another polish I enjoy pairing it with is A England’s Saint George. The holo is pretty faint in Saint George and doesn’t stand a chance when topped with flakies, but the deep green-teal color complements Brilliance nicely.
ILNP is releasing the Holographic Ultra Chrome Flakie collection soon, and Brilliance is one of the polishes getting the holographic treatment. I didn’t purchase any of them during the pre-order, but I may have to when they’re officially released. These flakies + holo may be a combination to great to deny.
