Parlor by Jeff Chastain Volumizing & Texturizing Shampoo (full size: 8oz, $22; sample size: 1oz, ~$3) – This, plus the matching conditioner (value of ~$1), was my sample choice for the month of March.  I haven’t had a chance to try them out, but I really need to because they smell amazing.  The scent is described as having “notes of ripe peach, fresh cut grass, and white woods”, which I’d say is accurate. If the duo also adds volume and texture?  That will just be icing on the cake.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Oil-Free Cleanser (full size: 5oz, $19.50; sample size: 1oz, ~$4) – I’ve tried this product in the past and found it to be effective and gentle.  I have oily/combination skin and the cleanser worked well; it left my skin feeling clean and looking a bit more even.  A little goes a long way, so I should get a lot of use out of this sample!

Cartier Baiser Volé Eau de Parfum (full size $75-106; sample size ~$1) – This white floral perfume has notes of lily, citrus, and green leaves.  It’s very fresh and clean smelling when you first spray, then it dries down to something that is still floral, but softer… more powdery.  It’s a fairly light scent that I feel would be safe for office wear.

Cynthia Rowley Brightening Illuminator (full size: 0.11oz, $28; sample size: 0.04oz, ~$10) – I’m a fan of this liquid highlighter, even though I didn’t have high hopes when I first saw it in my box.  Just a small dab is necessary, and it blends out well leaving a subtle pink pearlescent finish.  The only con is that it isn’t going to give you all-day wear.

Smashbox Photo Op Eye Shadow Trio in Filter (full size: 0.09oz, $28; sample size: 0.04oz, ~$13) – I love neutrals, so I was happy to see this in my March box.  The all-matte trio includes Vanilla (warm ivory), Sable (soft brown), and Sumatra (deep brown).  The pigmentation is slightly above average and the addition of a primer helped me to extend the wear.  Also, I love the portability of this sample size.

Total Box Value: ~$31
